A High-Gain and Broadband Dipole Antenna Optimized by Partially Reflective Metasurface

A high gain and broadband dipole antenna is designed by optimizing reflector and using a Partially Reflective Meta Surface (PRMS) structure. By optimizing the distance between PRMS structure and the antenna and the size of PRMS structure, the performance of the antenna has achieved a high Gain (9.2dBi) and a wide impedance bandwidth (61.2%). The antenna we designed is beneficial to compose a high gain array antenna used in urban environment. The Simulated result confirmed this method is effective to improve the performance of the antenna.
