Two-Dimensional Array Antenna with Element Separations Adjusted to Excitation Distribution

An amplitude distribution on a linear array antenna can be transformed to element separation distribution. This paper discusses the extension of such a separation-controlled array antenna from one-dimension to two-dimensions We study a two-dimensional array antenna composed of plural linear arrays with radial arrangement. The radiation patterns are compared between the amplitude-and separation-controlled arrays in reference to the equivalent parabola antenna. The dependence on the number of linear arrays is presented.
