Research on Portable Infrared Diagnosis Device of Substation Equipment

The infrared diagnosis is a widely used method in substations. There are more than 7,000 substations in China, and hundreds of equipment in each substation need to be inspected. The workload of infrared image collection and analysis is heavy. In order to assist engineers in analyzing faults in real time, this paper designs a portable infrared diagnosis device. Firstly, the type and location of the substation equipment is identified by modified SSD model. Secondly, an automatic relative temperature difference method is proposed to diagnose the equipment. Thirdly, a portable infrared device is designed and the diagnosis method is implemented on the device. The experimental results show that accuracy of the equipment detection is 77.1%mAP, and the defect level can be judged correctly.
