A single-passband microwave photonic filter with sub-MHz bandwidth

A single-passband microwave photonic filter with 3 dB bandwidth of 650 kHz, center frequency drift of ±50kHz over spectral range of 2-18 GHz is experimentally demonstrated based on a Brillouin dynamic grating. To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest spectral resolution single-passband MPF reported to date, with high stability, wide tunability and a simple structure.
