Optimization Deployed Strategy of Wireless Power Beacon Based on 5G Millimeter Wave Small Cell

In order to implement the green communication with high spectral efficiency (SE) and low energy consumption in 5G wireless network. In this paper, a millimeter wave small cell model was established, where low-cost and backless power beacons (PBs) are used to replace the conventional base station (BSs) to provide energy supply for the energy-constrained user equipment devices (UEs), and then UEs utilize the harvested energy to communicate with each other. To achieve the optimization deployment of PBs, a system energy consumption minimization problem was proposed under the joint constraints of area spectrum efficiency (ASE) and energy harvesting (EH) coverage. Since this problem is a mixed integer programming problem and is known to be NP-hard. Then we propose a greedy algorithm which is shown to be a constant-factor approximation for this problem. Extensive simulation results validate that the proposed method can effectively optimize PBs deployment, and the energy consumption is the lowest under the same coverage rate and ASE gain.
