Detection of natural gas H2O content based on Raman spectroscopy

This paper presents an exploratory study on the detection of natural gas water content by Raman spectroscopy. The method uses long range optical cell to enhance gas Raman signal and builds Raman gas detection platform, by which achieves the Raman spectrogram of water vapor in natural gas under normal temperature and pressure. Besides, the paper also discussed the influence of pressure on Raman spectrum analysis of water. The experimental results show that there is a linear relationship between the spectral peak area and the water vapor concentration, which provides a new scheme for the detection of natural gas water content.
