Research of UAV Location Control System Based on SINS, GPS and Optical Flow

With combination of SINS and GPS, the precision and reliability of UAV navigation can be improved. Because of disadvantages of signals lost and disturbed easily, the application of SINS/GPS system has many boundedness in UAV navigation system. In order to develop the superiorities of SINS/GPS system, the paper put forward a method of location theory based on SINS, GPS, and optical flow in UAV navigation. By measuring the altitude and speed of UAV with optical flow, the two dimension optical flow messages are data fused with SINS by extended Kalman filter(EKF), the location, speed and gesture can be gotten in real time. With the results of inner experiments, it shows that the scheme can reduce the errors of location, speed and gesture of navigation, and the precision of location has been improved much.
