Adaptive Control for Cyber-Physical Systems against Actuator Attacks

Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs), belonging to the interdisciplinary field of research, which has spurred broad interests, are always suffering from malicious actuator attacks. In this paper, we propose a fuzzy logic system-based adaptive controller for CPSs under state-dependent actuator attacks. The FLS is utilized to approximate the nonlinear functions related to the state-dependent actuator attacks. By employing adaptive backstepping method, an adaptive controller is developed to compensate the actuator attacks. With the proposed adaptive controller, the uniform ultimate boundedness of the closed-loop plant can be guaranteed. Finally, a numerical example in the face of actuator attacks is employed to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
