The Structure and Thermal Conductivity of the Structural Polymer Composites with Carbon Reinforcing Components

The reasons and fields of application of innovative polymer composite materials based on epoxy resins reinforced with fiberglass and carbon microfilaments and carbon nanotubes are considered. A model of the structure and a method for calculating the effective thermal conductivity of the reinforcing elements of the composite material (threads) with different volume ratios, relative lengths of the reinforcing micro- and nanofilaments and their thermal conductivity in the longitudinal and transverse directions, and substantially anisotropic structural panels (prepregs) created by innovative technologies for objects with large structures.
