Design And Analysis Of a Circularly Polarized Antenna with an arrow shaped slot

In this paper, a novel design of circularly polarized antenna has been realized which exhibits an axial ratio bandwidth of 1.3 GHz operating at 8.2 GHz. An arrow shaped slot has been cut diagonally on the rectangular microstrip patch with truncated four corners to create left hand circular polarized waves. Numerical Simulations have been performed in HFSS Software which validate generation of CP waves from the microstrip patch antenna through radiation pattern, return loss, axial ratio and impedance plot. The proposed antenna yields left-hand circular polarization (LHCP) and high radiation efficiency at the operating frequencies.
