Behavioral Modeling of Current Reference for LEDs Control Applications

Circuit-level behavioral modeling creates virtual models in order to reduce simulation time and closely observe circuits' behavior, generally combining analog and digital techniques. The presented behavioral model in this paper focuses on a current reference that is developed using the OrCAD tool, starting from the electrical diagram. This current reference is part of a complex device used in the automotive industry for light-emitting diodes control applications, in the specific electronic block that controls the signaling of the vehicle's brake. The designed model respects datasheet parameters and features. All modeled components and circuit's simulation results are presented in order to validate the proposed behavioral model.
