Operation Simulation of the CCHP-ORC based Distributed Energy System in a Shopping Mall

To adapt the dynamic fluctuation of electricity and heat demands, as well as improve the flexibility and adjustability of the heat-to-power ratio on the supply side of the Combined cooling heating and power (CCHP) system, the organic Rankine cycle (ORC) unit is included to form a CCHP-ORC system. Based on the coupling analysis of system configuration and corresponding thermodynamic parameters, the simulation model for the operation of the CCHP-ORC system under two operating modes is developed by employing the TRNSYS platform. Taking a typical commercial building as example, the flue gas characteristics of the CCHP system under two operating modes are examined for the heat source of the ORC unit. Following which, the simulation results of the CCHP-ORC system under two operating modes are analyzed and compared.
