Life prediction for the tractor of an elevator based on the sliding displacement

As a vertical transportation equipment, elevators have been widely used in various buildings. The tractor of an elevator is an important part while the life prediction for which is lack. The working life prediction method of the tractor of an elevator is studied in this paper. First, the sliding between the wheel and the slope is determined to be the top failure mode by studying the working mechanism and the structure of the of the tractor of an elevator. Second, the sliding displacement is chosen as the fault characteristic parameter of performance degradation of the tractor according to the failure mechanism, and the failure threshold is calculated. Third, a degradation model based on Wiener process is established for the tractor, and the life distribution of which is deduced. A model parameter estimation method that combining Bootstrap method with Maximum Likelihood method is used to solve the problem of lacking data. Finally, an experiment is designed to collect the sliding data, the estimated life of the traction machines is obtained by the proposed method.
