Movable nozzle device design for moist gas condensation in sonic nozzle

The condensation phenomenon occurs when vapor gas goes through the sonic nozzle, which has an important effect on its measurement accuracy. To measurement the pressure distribution and capture the condensation feature accurately, a movable nozzle device with a single fixed measuring station was set up. More information about flow field in the sonic nozzle such as wave shock and the onset of condensation will be detected. In addition, a pressure sensor was constructed for measuring a succession of time-average pressure points continuously. Finally, the steady pressures were obtained at different inlet humidity and the accuracy and stability of the movable nozzle were validated.
