Performance Analysis of Different PV Technologies under Non-Uniform Outdoor Conditions

Solar photovoltaic (PV) technology is one of the fastest-growing sources of power production in the world today. So it is imperative to understand the factor affecting the performance of PV modules. Low irradiance, module temperature, partial shading, and mismatching has an inconsistent impact on its power yield. In this paper effect of all these factors has been analyzed and a comparative study is made for five different solar PV modules technology. Pvsyst software is used to model and simulate the PV system. The analysis and results provide detailed information which can be utilized for a feasibility study to estimate power yield and choose the most appropriate PV technology with respect to existing field condition.
