Design and Experimental Study on a Test System for the Self-balancing Foot Device

Stabilizing and aligning tables often presents a problem when in use. A self-balancing foot device is designed to solve these problems. The foot can automatically adjust its height according to the ground flatness, and an external force can be applied to finely change the height of table. However, as the stability of the foot is affected by the internal elastic element parameters, a large number of experiments are necessary to explore the stability of the foot under different parameters. Therefore, a test system for the foot is designed in this paper. The test system consists of displacement sensor, pressure sensor, pressure loading device and controller. In the experiment, the test system applies force to the table and detects current pressure and height variation to test the stability of the foot. Through the experiment, the most stable set of foot devices is found and verified to satisfy the use requirements.
