Analysis of Lightning Breakage in 10kV Distribution Network and Protection Characteristics of Arrester

In order to find out the mechanism of lightning breaking of 10 kV transmission line and improve the reliability of distribution network system, this paper firstly analyses the mechanism of lightning breaking and the influence of arc current on the process of lightning breaking. Secondly, the simulation model of induction lightning strike distribution network is built in ATP/EMTP simulation software, and tower overvoltage under different lightning currents is analyzed. Finally, based on insulator flashover, the protection scope and performance of tower arrester are analyzed. The research work in this paper provides a reference basis for lightning break protection of 10 kV transmission lines and installation and layout of lightning arresters.
