Fabrication of Hand-Driven Coaxsial Laminar Flow Devices

This paper reports fabrication of a 3D printed coaxial laminar flow device that could be used with a hand-held syringe. Despite its usefulness in 3D cell culturing, the only drawback of the conventional cell-laden hydrogel microfibers was its fabrication method. People needed to be trained to make cell fibers, many washing process and syringe pumps were used to make fibers, especially when you want to make cell fibers of various conditions. We have fabricated an easy-to-use cell fiber fabrication device that could be integrated inside a clean bench without any electric machines. We believe that this device will increase the number of people to conduct experiments with the cell fibers and result in progress of micro 3D cell engineering.
