Manufacturing and Investigation of IP2C Sensors with PANI Electrodes

One of the promising conductive polymers is polyaniline (PANI). It is characterized by good electronic properties due to protonation and by lower cost as compared to other conductive polymers. Two methods of production PANI electrodes on MF-4SK ion-exchange membrane depending on the oxidant of aniline were described. The effect of in situ polymerization time on the properties of the obtained samples was investigated in the oxidation of aniline by (NH
4
)2S
2
O
8
. It has been shown that samples obtained with less polymerization time have higher conductivity. Investigation of oxidation of aniline by AgNO3 in medium of different acidity was carried out. It has been found that the output signal amplitude of the IP
²
C sensor produced in HNO
3
medium is 40 mV at a displacement amplitude of 2 cm and frequencies of 2...3 Hz.
