Effect of the Accidental Impurities onto the Absorption Spectrum of NaGd(WO4)2 Laser Crystal

Three NaGd(WO
₄
)
₂
single crystals have been grown by Czochralski technique using the initial chemicals with different purity. The optical absorption spectra of the crystals, as well as their impurity compositions have been measured. The possible reasons of the addition coloration of these crystals have been analyzed.
