Modeling and Control of Catapult Take-off for Carrier-Based Aircraft Considering the Carrier Motion

This paper is the simulation study of aircraft carrier catapult take-off considering various environmental factors. A general carrier-based aircraft longitudinal dynamic model based on the aerodynamic and kinematic characteristics of the different phases was established. The proposed control scheme for the climbing phase is to keep the aircraft rise steadily. Then a simulation program was conducted to identify the rationality of the model. The aircraft's state parameters of catapult take-off after leaving the ship was analyzed. Simulation results show that the model and the control scheme have a beneficial effect.
