Peculiarities of the Faraday Effect in Gold Nanoantenna Gratings in Iron-garnet Films

In this paper we consider the structures that consist of array of circle shaped gold nanoantennas in iron-garnet films. In spite of the several works reporting about similar structures, there is still a question about the influence of the parameters of the immersion of gold particles in a magnetic medium on the magneto-optical properties, in particular, the Faraday rotation spectrum. Calculations of transmission and Faraday enhancement spectra were performed utilizing RCWA method for 2D grating arrays. It is shown that by varying nanoantennas' height it is possible to enhance Faraday rotation by 10 times compared to solid magnetic film.
