Improving Parameters of Cherry-Hooper Amplifier Using Parasitic Elements on the Layout

This paper describes a design of differential Cherry-Hooper amplifier using the parasitic capacitance of the layout. The parasitic capacitance is used for capacitive peaking for bandwidth extension. The amplifier is designed primarily for M-sequence UWB radar sensor. The proposed design achieves 11 GHz bandwidth with 16.2 dB single-ended gain.
