Synthesis of an Impedance Plane Which Reflects Several Incident Plane Waves in a Given Direction

In this paper, for the first time, a two-dimensional problem of the constructive synthesis of an inhomogeneous isotropic impedance plane, which reflects several homogeneous plane waves simultaneously falling from different directions in one arbitrarily specified direction on a co-polarization, is solved. Solutions are obtained for H-polarized waves. The laws of impedance distribution are found in explicit form. Formulas for reflection coefficients were found. Expressions for scatter diagrams are obtained. The validity of the obtained theoretical relations is confirmed by the results of the rigorous solution of analysis problems using the Ansoft HFSS. The results of numerical studies for various numbers of incident waves and all possible relationships between the angles of incidence and reflection of waves are presented.
