Verification Method and Experimental Study of UHF Partial Discharge Detection Equipment Based on GTEM Cell

The UHF partial discharge detection technology has been widely used in the state detection of power grid equipment. However, the manufacturing process of equipment from different manufacturers, the influence of on-site detection environment, and the operation and maintenance of instruments directly affect the on-site detection performance of UHF partial discharge sensors and detection devices. Therefore, it is of great significance to carry out the verification and comparison test research on the performance characteristics of UHF partial discharge sensors. This paper studies the performance testing method of UHF PD testing equipment, gives the testing principle and method of UHF sensor's average effective height, testing sensitivity, dynamic range, correct identification rate and stability of PD types, establishes a performance verification and comparison testing platform for UHF PD testing equipment, and compares and analyzes the performance parameters of high frequency PD sensors from different manufacturers in combination with the actual field application of UHF PD sensors. Research shows that the transmission impedance and testing frequency of imported high frequency sensors are better than those of domestic equipment. The performance check and comparison test research of UHF PD detection equipment provides an important basis for the arrival acceptance and regular check of UHF PD detectors, and also provides strong technical support for field testers.
