A novel low-noise open-loop sample and hold using the chopper technique

A novel sample-and-hold circuit structure, suitable for high-speed analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), is proposed in this paper. By applying a chopper structure to the proposed sample-and-hold circuit, the value of nonlinearity is decreased in the frequency range of [0-30 MHz]. Therefore, the sample-and- hold circuits with the chopper structure can achieve optimal sampling frequency and accuracy. Finally, the simulation results demonstrated that the proposed sample-and-hold circuit with fully differential double sampling is an effective tool for improving sampling accuracy and frequency.
