A Selection Method Based on Equipment Classification in Nuclear Power Plant for I&C EMC Test Standard

Because the numbers and the types of EMC qualification standards are very large, it may take many confuse to the instrument and control (I&C) engineers when they want to select some standard to guide equipment qualification. This paper provides a selection method based on the equipment classification and help the I&C engineer of Nuclear Power Plant (NNP) to select the EMC qualification standards to guide equipment qualification. At last, combining with the selection approach it provides a suit of general instrument and control EMC qualification tables including qualification items and levels for safety class and none safety class I&C equipment.
