Analysis of Flexible Lamp with Multiple Hanging Points

The loads and deformations of wire ropes are very important to suspend a slender structure. As a typical case of slender structure, the long hang lamp and its layout of hanging points are analyzed. The finite element models of the hang lamp piece with/without wire ropes are built by ANSYS. After nonlinear analysis, the results of stress and displacement of two models are compared. The comparison results show that the model with wire rope is more reasonable. And the successful installation of the hanging lamp also shows the rationality of this model. Therefore, the wire rope model is necessary for large slender structure, which can embody actually coupling relationship between load and displacement.
