Research on the Altitude Measurement of UAV Targets Using a Frequency Scanned Radar

In this paper, the altitude measurement strategy of precisely tracking the low-altitude and small slow-speed and small Radar cross section (RCS) targets such as unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is proposed using a frequency scanned radar. The traditional sequential lobe angle measurement method is improved by the proposed method, and the smooth processing method of measured altitude data is presented.
