Nonadaptive Prefiltering Stage Based PLLs for Single Phase Applications

The phase-locked loop (PLL) is undoubtedly the most common synchronization tool for power and energy applications. The main challenge associated with the PLLs is how to achieve a high disturbance rejection capability while maintaining a fast dynamic response. To deal with that, a novel nonadaptive prefiltering stage based PLL for single phase applications is proposed. The PLL is based on the nonadaptive real value generalized delayed signal cancellation (NR-GDSC) operators, briefly named as NR-GDSC-PLL. In the NR-GDSC-PLL, the cascade connection of multiple NR-GDSC operators is suggested as the PLL's prefiltering stage for an enhanced disturbance rejection capability. The suggested NR-GDSC-PLL has both an enhanced disturbance rejection capability and a fast dynamic response. Moreover, an equivalent structure for the NR-GDSC-PLL is designed. They have the same dynamic responses and steady state accuracies. The effectiveness and feasibility of the suggested PLLs are validated through experimental results.
