Modelling and Simulation of a Hand Orthosis

In this paper we are presenting the modelling and the simulation from the kinetics point of view for a low-cost orthosis emphasizing the working principle and static FEM analysis. The orthosis is as simple as possible with three movements at the level of the wrist, index distal phalange and the movement at the level of the metacarpal bones of thumb and index fingers. All the elements of the orthosis can be manufactured using a 3D printing technology.
