Influence of Supporting Stiffness on Critical Speeds of a Power Turbine Rotor System

In this paper, the variation of critical speed with the supporting stiffness of a power turbine analogue rotor system is studied. The finite element method (FEM) is used to establish the model of the power turbine analogue rotor system and the modal analysis is carried out to reveal the relationship between the first three critical speeds and the supporting stiffness. The results indicate that the supporting stiffness shows a significant effect on the critical speeds of the power turbine rotor system.
