Radio Wave Visualizer for 5G New Radio Signal

The wavelengths of the high-frequency bands under consideration for the 5th generation mobile communication systems (5G) are much shorter than those used previously, and these bands are greatly affected by people, vehicles, and other objects in the vicinity of terminals such as mobile phones. Considering this, we enhanced previously developed equipment that provides a 360° real-time visualization of fluctuations in the state of arriving radio waves from a 3rd Generation Partnership Project compliant 5G base station due to such effects. This newly developed equipment considers the New Radio specification and enables us to confirm easily the number of arriving radio waves, to orient antennas appropriately, and optimize cell planning.
