A novel X-band Power Synthesizer based on SIW structure

the power requirement of wireless communication system is getting higher and higher. In order to make the output power of the system meet the design requirements, power synthesis technology is an effective way to improve the output power. In this paper, a new Y-type X-band power synthesizer based on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) is designed. According to the actual needs of the project, the width of the two output ports is exactly the same as the input ports. The power distribution network is connected with the right-angle bending structure, which effectively reduces the overall size of the structure. The test results show that the return loss of the new Y-type X-band power synthesizer is less than −15dB in the band of 3GHz, and its insertion loss changes between 3.6dB and 4.1dB. Broadband and Low insertion loss is the characteristics of SIW structure.
