Performance Analysis of X-Band RADAR in the Presence of Electronic Jammers

In the era of innovations in technology and electronic revolution, RADAR becomes the backbone for surveillance. It has gained immense significance in defensive and attacking systems with the utmost goals are for controlling and protection of military and navigation systems. RADAR operating in the range of 8-12GHz (X-Band) has characteristic applications in military, navigation and missile guidance. However, Clutters and jammers present in the surroundings known as Electronic counter measures (ECM) are meant for the distortion of the propagation of RADAR signal. Electronic Counter-Counter measures (ECCM) techniques are implemented to suppress the effect of clutters and jammers on the RADAR signals. Some methods are introduced for successful implementation of ECCM techniques including parameter estimation, STAP technique, and bandpass filter. In this paper, we have stimulated STAP techniques-based algorithms including SMI and ADPCA. ADPCA algorithm shows optimal results with a low computational cost.
