A Novel Optimized PTS for PAPR reduction of an DMT signal

The Partial Transmit Sequence (PTS) algorithm can effectively reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of the Discrete Multi-Tone Modulation (DMT) signal, but it is difficult to apply in practical operation like short-distance scene because of its high complexity. Based on the PTS technique, Progressive-Segmented PTS (PS-PTS) and its improved algorithm named IPS-PTS are proposed. We carried out simulation experiments under DMT modulation format and Gaussian white noise channel. The results show that the proposed algorithms can effectively reduce the PAPR of signal and get a balance between performance and computational complexity.
