Multiple Lyapunov Function-Based Large Signal Stability Analysis of DC Microgrid with Coordinated Control

DC microgrids with coordinated control are typical switched dynamic systems since there are transitions of multiple operation modes among local units. Stability is a primary concern for coordination of DC microgrids, especially in islanding mode where the systems are prone to be disturbed by various transient events. This paper proposes large signal stability analysis method based on multiple Lyapunov function (MLF) for DC microgrid in a switched system perspective. The reduced model of the DC microgrid is derived, and the MLF is then formulated to facilitate large signal stability analysis. Meanwhile, region of attraction (ROA) in each operation mode is also estimated by the derived MLF. Simulation results verify the analysis.
