The Experimental Study on Self-driven Evaporative Cooling System In Large Capacity Permanent Magnet Machine

Self-driven evaporative cooling system is an effective cooling method with high reliability and economic performance. Based on the two-phase flow CFD simulation and theoretical analysis for equivalent model in previous researches, the experimental model of evaporative cooling system was designed and established to verify simulation results and further optimize the design of cooling system. The evaporative cooling capacity and characteristic at different heat loads were analyzed in this paper. The experiment results match well with the finite element simulation data.
