Optimal Design of DD Coupling Coil for Wireless Charging System of Electric Vehicle

In this paper, an optimum design method of DD coupling coils for wireless charging system of electric vehicle is presented. Through finite element analysis, the influence of different physical parameters of DD coils on the transmission performance of coupling structure is obtained. Based on the simulation results, the specific design parameters of DD coils working at 7.7 kW power level and with certain misalignment tolerance characteristics are proposed.
