Research on the Electric Probe Calibration Based on Electric Dipole Moment

A method based on electric dipole moment is proposed to calibrate electric probe in this paper. The microstrip line is utilized to generate electric field detected by electric probe. The current induced into microstrip line is divided into many current elements. The intensity of Ex-field at a specified height can be calculated by superposition of radiation fields of all current elements. Through this standard Ex-field, the calibration coefficient of electric probe can be obtained in time and accurate test results can also be gained.
