Demonstration of Reflected Interference Cancellation in Single-Wavelength Bidirectional PON System

This paper proposes a novel cancellation technique of a Fresnel reflected light in single-wavelength bidirectional wavelength division multiplexed passive optical network (WDM-PON) transmission system. We experimentally confirmed error vector magnitude (EVM) and bit error rate (BER) improvements in comparison with no cancellation case.
