Study of the Electrophysical Properties of Thin Films of Mixed Zinc and Tin Oxides

In this work, we studied the electrical properties of films of mixed zinc and tin oxides obtained by low-temperature pyrolysis. The temperature dependences of the resistance of ZnO-SnO
2
films, measured in the range from room temperature to 300 °C, showed the difference between the heating and cooling curves, which is explained by two competing processes - thermal generation of electrons and adsorption of oxygen particles on the surface of the oxide film. Using the slope of the linear section on the Arrhenius plot, we calculated the activation energy of conductivity, which amounted to 1.1 eV. Based on the results of energy dispersive analysis, it was concluded that the material of the obtained films is zinc oxide with the addition of tin oxide.
