Synthesis of an anisotropic surface that reflects several incident plane waves in a prescribed direction with a required polarization

In the paper, the two-dimensional problem of synthesis of the heterogeneous anisotropic impedance plane that rereflects several homogeneous plane waves which simultaneously fall from different directions in one randomly set direction in the required polarization is solved for the first time. The impedance is implemented as a dense grid of the orthogonal stripes that closely adjoin to each other. Expressions for reflection coefficients for such plane are derived. The laws of distribution of impedance tensor components are received in an explicit form. The scattering diagrams are investigated. Restrictions for a class of implementable scattering diagrams are formulated. Appropriateness of the received theoretical ratios is confirmed with results of a rigorous solution of analysis problems. Results of synthesis of the anisotropic structures that transform different number of incident waves of any polarization to the wave of the set polarization (including circular polarization) that is reflected in the required direction are given.
