Outline of the reliability and durability estimation method of aircraft on-board accumulator batteries

The presented paper contains outline of the probabilistic method of the reliability and durability estimation of aircraft on-board accumulator batteries. Unrecognized precisely processes which lead to battery capacity changes, allow formulation of hypothesis concerning process of battery ageing. Analysis of empirical data permits formulation of function which describes battery capacity changes. It formed the basis for developing of probabilistic model of dynamics of capacity changes. After that, mathematical expression of battery durability distribution was determined. Authors describe the method of durability estimation for assumed probability of exceeding the acceptable value of battery capacity and estimation of durability distribution parameters. Presented considerations were substantiated by calculation example.
