Design and Implementation of Multiple Output Interleaved Flyback Converter with Post Regulators

This project is aimed at design and implementation of multiple output interleaved flyback converter with post regulators. Interleaved topology reduces the size and cost of power filtering devices but due to high frequency operation of switches in the converter voltage spike across the MOSFET switch is more, so in order to reduce the voltage spikes on MOSFET switch and to increase the efficiency of convert non-dissipative LC snubber is used. In case of multiple output converters achievement of load and cross regulation is major problem. So in order to achieve multiple output requirement with better load and cross regulation, multiple output interleaved flyback converter with post regulators is designed. Low Dropout Regulators (LDO) are used as post regulators. Current mode control technique is implemented to control the width of pulses generated from PWM IC. The converter is operating at a switching frequency of 100 KHz. The proposed converter is miniaturized by using hybrid micro circuit (HMC) technology. Hardware implementation is carried out to validate the design of proposed converter.
