Natural Fly-around Orbital Maneuvers Strategy for GEO Spacecraft Considering Illumination Constraints

Focusing the natural fly-around for Geosynchronous Earth Orbit(GEO) spacecraft, a simply yet effective orbit maneuver algorithm is proposed. Firstly, the relative motion model of two spacecraft is established in HILL coordinate system, and solar illumination angle constraint of the two spacecraft are analyzed. Then, the process of natural fly-around of two spacecraft is introduced, and the orbit maneuver strategy is established to enable the service spacecraft to realize natural fly-around the target spacecraft. Finally, the effectiveness and practicability of the algorithm are verified by numerical simulation.
