Passive Radar Illuminator Identification in Single Frequency Networks

Knowing the properties of illuminators is crucial for the successful operation of passive radar systems. The identification of the transmitters in a single frequency network is often challenging due to the operator-imposed artificial network delays. We demonstrate a method based on time of arrival measurements on a mobile platform to both identify the transmitters and measure their network delays very accurately.
