The influence of technical features of diabetic medical APP on users' continuance intention: The mediating effect of health empowerment

The purpose of this study is to reveal the impact of the technical features of diabetic medical APP on the user's cognitive level of health empowerment, and explore the user's continuance intention, further examine the relationship between health empowerment and satisfaction. Under the theory of stimulus-organism-response (SOR) framework, this paper takes the technical features of diabetes medical APP as "stimulus", health empowerment and satisfaction as "organism", and continuance intention of users as "response". The hypothesis model was tested through the survey data of 336 actual diabetic medical APP users. The research results show that the Media richness and Support for social interactions have positive effects on users' cognitive level of health empowerment, while Ubiquity and Media richness have positive effects on users' satisfaction. In addition, users' cognitive level of health empowerment positively influences their satisfaction. Finally, Health empowerment and Satisfaction positively affect users' continuance intention.
