Simulation of 112Gbps Full-Link Interconnect System

High-speed serial link seriously suffers from attenuation and dispersion. This paper designs an On-Board Connector (OBC)-based full-link interconnect system for the industry-leading 112Gbps PAM4 (Pulse Amplitude Modulation-4) signals. Full link simulation based on the ADS (Advanced Design System) platform is performed. To compensate attention loss of the channel, a CTLE (continuous-time linear equalizer) is also designed. And the equalizer is simulated based on the MATLAB platform. The simulation results show that much better performance can be obtained by using the designed equalizer.
