Modeling and Analysis of the Induction Voltage of the Bus Bar Considering the Influence of the Ground and Equipment

A new analytical model to calculate the induction voltage of the bus bar is developed when the influence of the ground and equipment is taken into account. Firstly, the effect of the ground and equipment on the induction voltage of the bus bar is computed by finite element method (FEM). The numerical results show that the ground has an important influence on the induction voltage of the bus bar compared with the effect of the equipment. Then, focusing on the influence of the ground, Variable Separation Method (VSM) is employed to set up an analytical model, deriving the Fourier integral expression of the magnetic vector potential along the bus bar. Afterwards, the analytical formulation of the induction voltage of the bus bar is presented through solving the integral equations. The good agreement between the analytical results and FEM results verifies the accuracy of the proposed analytical model.
